Big Sky breaks record ski attendance

News Image

BIG SKY - This winter's snowy weather is great news for Big Sky resort, as they tally in a record number of skiers. Skier visits were up 15% from last years' previous record breaking holiday season. The busiest ski day in the resort's history: December 29th last year with over 7,500 skiers on the mountain.

In October Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin merged into one resort linking over 5,700 acres of skiing terrain under a single lift ticket.

A factor in these records? The weather. With over 50 inches of new snow during the two week holiday period.
